Prompt: What strategies have you and your group used to ensure that all members are actively contributing to group assignments? Explain how you communicate, divide responsibilities, and hold each other accountable throughout the process.

Prompt Response - We made sure everyone stayed involved by talking about what needs to get done. We talked in class and discussed the assignment, shared ideas, and made sure we understood our part. We divided responsibilities so that while one person did one part, like finding quotes, another person would do the other part, and then we would share and put everything together. Summary - Today in class, we finished working on finding the best sources for our research project. Reflection - Today, we thought about which sources would be best for our research project.

Prompt: What challenges did your group face while selecting and analyzing sources, and how did you overcome them? Be specific about how your group communicated and worked through disagreements.

Prompt Response - We didn't face many challenges while selecting and analyzing sources. There were a few times when we had different opinions about what information was most relevant to our research topic, but those issues were solved pretty easily. We communicated by talking with each other, sharing our research, and looking through each other’s sources to compare the information we found. By discussing our ideas and explaining why certain sources were useful, we were able to agree on what best supported our topic and continue working together effectively. Summary - Today in class, we started working on finding the best sources for our research project. Reflection - Today, we thought about which sources would be best for our research project.

Prompt: Reflect on your research topic and identify the most compelling issue connected to it. Clearly explain what the issue is and discuss why you find it particularly interesting or important. Support your response with specific details from your research.

Prompt Response - The most compelling issue I had with my research was how it can both help and harm people’s mental health. Social media allows teens and young adults to stay connected, build friendships, and find support, which can reduce loneliness and depression. At the same time, other research found that heavy social media use can increase anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem because of cyberbullying, social comparison, and too much screen time. I find this issue important because social media is a big part of people’s daily lives, and understanding their positive and negative effects can help people build healthier online habits. Summary - Today in class, we didn't have class Reflection - Today, we didn't have class.

Prompt: How has completing the annotated bibliography changed or clarified your understanding of your research topic? Discuss how your sources connect to one another and how they are shaping your argument moving forward.

Prompt Response - Completing the annotated bibliography helped me better understand my research topic by showing me how different sources connect and support my argument. Some sources provided facts and statistics, while others explained personal experiences or expert opinions, which gave me a more complete view of the subject. I also noticed common themes and differing viewpoints. This process made my argument clearer and more focused because I can now use my sources more effectively to support my main claim in the research paper. Summary - Today in class, we worked on our annotated bibliography for our research project. Reflection - Today, we thought about our annotated bibliography.

Prompt: Which part of the annotated bibliography (summary, reflection, or evaluation) was the most challenging for you, and why? Explain how that challenge helped you grow as a researcher and how it will help you when writing your research paper.

Prompt Response - The summary was the most challenging part of the bibliography because I had to condense the text into 3 sentences while keeping all the main points intact. This challenge helped me grow as a researcher because I learned how to understand my sources better and identify key points quickly. It will help me when writing my research paper because I will be able to use those summaries to support it and organize my ideas more clearly. Summary - Today in class, we started our annotated bibliography for our research project. Reflection - Today, we thought about our annotated bibliography.

Prompt: As you gathered sources, you were expected to find multiple perspectives on your topic. What differences did you notice between your sources? Explain how these differences helped you better understand the complexity of your issue.

Prompt Response - While gathering sources on how constant digital connectivity affects mental health among the youth, I noticed that some sources focused on the negative effects of social media, while others highlighted positive aspects of it. These differences showed me that the issue is not simply black and white and that technology can both help and harm mental health, depending on how it is used. Seeing multiple perspectives helped me understand that the impact of digital connectivity depends on lots of factors. Summary - Today in class, we kept researching sources for our research project. Reflection - Today, we thought about our sources.

Prompt: Think about your experience using GALILEO to find sources. How was this different from how you have searched for information in the past? Explain how using specific search strategies and evaluating sources impacted the quality of what you found.

Prompt Response - Using Galileo was different from how I used to search beforehand because I had to use specific keywords and phrases instead of broad/basic questions. It gave me more reliable sources instead of random sites. This made my research better because I found information that was more accurate, relevant, and trustworthy. Summary - Today in class, we started researching sources for our research project. Reflection - Today, we thought about our sources.
